Yes, I Am One Of Those People...

I admit, I will play Christmas music starting in October.  I love it, I am not ashamed, it makes me happy!  Now, I don't play it from my rooftop, or blaring out my car windows for the masses to hear, I even try to listen to it at home by myself in case it is not what my family is wanting to listen to.  Sooo, why do people get so upset with me for listening to it before Thanksgiving?  I like the whole Christmas season, I wish it were longer, if I can have the feeling that listening to Christmas music gives me, I am going to listen to it for as long as I can.  Look, we live in a world of chaos, why do I get chastised for doing something that reminds me of good?  I like Halloween, (well the whole costume thing kind of gets on my nerves, but that is a different story) Thanksgiving is one of my favorite holidays, I don't feel like I am skipping anything listening to Christmas music earlier than a lot of people find acceptable.  So, I will say this, I am grateful (did you hear, grateful, Thanksgiving, I didn't skip) for the free agency to play the songs I like in the time of year I like them.  If you don't want to listen to Christmas music or watch Hallmark movies until after Thanksgiving, that is your choice and I won't get upset with you for doing so. :-)
